The microvacuole

Prof. Jean-Claude Guimberteau’s in-vivo filming showed the subcutaneous tissue as a continuous, sliding network of tiny polyhedral vacuoles — not layers. Stimulation that respects that structure is gentle and distributed.

2 · Technology

Roboderm® Multi Micro Alveolar Stimulation

The patented roller has hundreds of independent micro-stimulators. As it rolls, each one lifts and releases a micro-area — up to 21,600 stimulations a minute, covering 86% of the skin surface, in two hands at once.

i-Tech’s name for what the Roboderm® roller does: hundreds of small independent micro-stimulations per second across the skin surface — up to 21,600 a minute — instead of one large suction fold. It is designed around the microvacuole model of the subcutaneous tissue described by Prof. Jean-Claude Guimberteau.

Are these studies FDA clearances?

No. The FDA clearances are 510(k) K182453 (Laser Beauty) and K211272 (Laser-Med) for four labeled indications. The studies are the manufacturer’s and its collaborators’ evaluations of the technology and its programs; they are published by i-Tech and hosted here for due diligence.

Can I read the documents without leaving this site?

FDA-cleared wording on this site applies only to the laser-equipped icoone® configurations — icoone® Laser Beauty (510(k) K182453) and icoone® Laser-Med (510(k) K211272) — and only to their four labeled indications: relief of minor muscle aches and pain; relief of muscle spasms; temporary improvement of local blood circulation; temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite. Non-laser icoone® configurations and icoone® Microfacial are not represented as FDA-cleared.
